On Monday we arrived here in West Yellowstone, Montana for the annual ski festival and FIS races held on the Rendezvous Trails. This year the first races here will not be SuperTour events but the trails are still full of skiers from around the country. My favorite part about coming to Yellowstone is reconnecting with friends and old teammates (and family) that we haven’t seen since Spring Series. It feels like you see someone unexpectedly every few minutes out skiing.
The conditions have been fantastic this week but the snow cover is starting to get a little thin in places. Fortuitously Mother Nature is sending in a big storm this afternoon just in time for the races this weekend. Big thanks to the organizers at the West Yellowstone Ski Festival for putting together awesome courses and amazing skiing with limited snow.
Check back for a race report this weekend – Happy Turkey Day!
