Action packed weekend!
Half of our team was racing a 3-day weekend in Lillehammer, Norway while the rest of us raced in our first Super Tour races of the season in West Yellowstone, Montana.
World Cup Update:
On the first day of racing Jessie and Sophie skied into the World Cup points with 14th and 21st place in the classic sprint. Jessie kept her momentum rolling, winning her second World Cup victory in the 5km skate race on Saturday! The race can be watched below!

Super Tour Update:
On Saturday, we kicked off the Super Tour circuit with a skate sprint in windy conditions. Ben qualified 2nd, Paddy 20th, Annie 2nd, Erika 10th, Katharine 14th, and I qualified 15th. The West Yellowstone course is tight in twisty, placing large importance on tactics and positioning. This was my first race of the season and it was a great course to be reminded that you have to be aggressive in heats and really go for it. Annie and Erika moved on to the A final, with Erika moving through as lucky loser. I watched the A final and it was extremely exciting! Erika and Annie came charging up the hill towards the finish and Erika finished 2nd, her best ever sprint result on the Super Tour circuit and Annie right behind her in 3rd! Erika was the perfect example for fighting for every position because her lucky loser spot lead her to getting 2nd. On the men’s side, Ben raced his way into the A final, placing 4th for the day and Paddy 9th!

On Sunday, we woke up to stormy weather, with snow coming down really fast and large wind gusts blowing in all directions. Although the course had two tracks all around the course, only one could be seen. The combination of wind and fresh snow made the course slow and challenging. The men headed out first with Ben finishing strong in 8th with Paddy following in 13th. On the women’s side, Katharine skied to 2nd place, Erika 9th, Annie 14th, and I finished 17th.

It was a great team effort to quickly pack up and head out to Silver Star, Canada the next day. We are all excited to be in one of the most beautiful places to ski in North America with plenty of snow and kilometers to ski on!
Sunny Silver Star!
Cold, frosty weather up here in Canada.
We have been cooking up a storm, with Annie being the head meal planner/head cook.
