SMS T2 Team is an elite cross country ski team based out of Stratton Mountain, Vermont. A 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, we are not only full time athletes, but also full time community members. In addition to our training, we spend a great deal of time reaching out into our local areas to grow our sport and promote healthy lifestyles and communities.
Formed in 2013, the fledgling team has garnered impressive domestic and international results. Boasting five U.S. Ski Team members, three Olympians, 3 Olympic medals, World Cup globes, and several national program participants, the SMS Elite T2 has established itself as one of the most competitive cross country ski teams in the country.
As a team, we have two goals:
- Support the quest for international excellence in cross country skiing.
- Grow the sport in our communities as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.
As a group, we have the depth, skill and facilities to create the best elite training environment but rely heavily on donations and sponsorships to make that training sustainable.
In an effort to grow the sport in our domestic community, we partake in multiple service projects. We do anything from trail work to school visits to host ski camps and clinics for upcoming skiers.
